Paint Correction

Restore clarity, depth and gloss by addressing defects within the paint finish.

The service

Professional paint correction, delivered around the vehicle.

Paint correction uses controlled machine polishing to reduce visible defects such as swirl marks, light scratches, wash marring and oxidation. The aim is not to chase unsafe perfection, but to achieve the strongest responsible improvement for the paint in front of us.

Correction is recommended when paint looks flat, hazy or heavily marked under direct light. It is also the correct preparation before ceramic coating, because protection should preserve a finish that has already been properly prepared.

What is included

A clear process. No rushed shortcuts.

  • Safe wash and chemical decontamination
  • Clay treatment where required
  • Paint inspection and test section
  • Agreed machine-polishing stages
  • Panel wipe, inspection and suitable finishing protection

Before booking

The achievable result varies by paint system, defect depth and previous repairs. Deep damage through the clear coat cannot be safely polished away.

Questions

Before you book.

What is multi-stage correction?

It uses more than one polishing stage, typically a stronger cutting stage followed by refinement, when the paint condition supports it.

Will paint correction remove stone chips?

No. Chips involve missing paint and normally require touch-in or refinishing rather than polishing.

Can this be completed mobile?

We recommend paint correction at the Bingley workshop for controlled lighting, access and finish assessment.
