A coating makes maintenance easier, but careful washing still matters if you want to preserve gloss and minimise new defects.

Start with loose contamination

Rinse thoroughly and use an appropriate pre-wash to soften road film before touching the paint. Removing as much dirt as possible at this stage reduces the chance of dragging particles across the finish.

Use clean contact-wash tools

Use a suitable shampoo, clean wash media and a method that keeps dirty solution away from the paint. Work from cleaner upper sections towards dirtier lower panels and avoid applying unnecessary pressure.

Dry without rubbing

Use clean, soft drying towels or controlled air where available. Do not leave mineral-heavy water to dry on the surface, and avoid automatic brush washes that can mark the finish.

What this means for your vehicle

Vehicle condition, use and owner expectations still determine the correct recommendation. Send NME clear photographs and a short description for an initial view, followed by physical assessment where required.
